Gifts are meant to commemorate the occasion. Therefore, gift given should be apt to the occasion. At the same time gift should be such that it is useful to the person to whom it is given. In other words, the gifts given should be personalized.

Christmas is fast approaching and it is time to decide the gift; gift for parents, children, brothers and sisters, friends etc. When we speak of Christian gift the gift could be such that it spreads the message of Christ. Bibles, T-shirt with image of the Lord, a calendar with the message of Lord etc. If the gift is for males, it would be idea to consider a ring with the image of cross or of the Lord or Virgin etc. The other ideal articles could be the image of Lord which can be kept on the table in the office or in the house. If the image is small, it can even be kept in the car. There are some books which contain important messages of Christ. This could be another useful gift option. If you want to give any articles, say for example a house hold article to your brother, then add some message of the Lord at an appropriate place on the article.

For females, the Christian gift could be an ear ring, or finger ring, locket; but never forget that these articles have something to remember Jesus. Vanity bag is another best option to consider. T-shirts, pants, watch, riding glass, kitchenware are some of the articles which could be of use.

Buy the gift at the earliest; say about one month in advance. By this, you will have better options to choose from. If you go to the shop at the nick of the moment, then you will land up in buying something which may not be useful. Alternatively, you can also consider buying online. This saves lot of time and you can make your selection when you are free. The other advantage of buying well in advance is that you will have enough time to exchange the item. If what you have purchased is not suitable or if it is found to be defective, then you can exchange the material.

Some philanthropists say the best Christian gift is to help the poor and the downtrodden. They say there is no better gift than helping the poor and needy and this is what Jesus did during his lifetime.
